Fa'afetai, Ko'olauloa
October 12th, 2009 by CarynThanks to the generosity of our little corner of the world, a shipping container stuffed to the brim with food, clothing, and basic necessities is on its way to Samoa to aid tsunami disaster victims.
The BYU-Hawaii Samoan Club and members of the community teamed up Saturday to hold 'Operation Samoa Relief Drive,' an effort to send much-needed supplies to families who lost everything but the clothes on their backs in a devastating tsunami in Samoa two weeks ago.

BYUH students sort and bag clothing donations during 'Operation Samoa Relief Drive.'
The outpouring was so great, there were more donations than space in the container! The drive was scheduled to end at 4 p.m. Saturday, but volunteers were starting to turn donations away for lack of space by 1:30 p.m.

Way to go, Ko'olauloa!
